Please always check the title of all the homework Watchers I send,  becase at times I have to send them whole school.  I will always indicate what grade needs to view them if it does not apply to everyone. :)

Great week with the 6/7 grade music class, what a fun group! They are very respectful with great attitudes about completing assignments and working! 2/3-5 are working hard on the Christmas Program, I will give you more updates on what I need from you.  Please work with your child on their lines for the program, you know "practice makes permenant".  PK-2, have your kids sing with you and ask them about the music cocepts listed on the agenda, this allows them to keep reviewing what they know!

Thank you to all the followers, I am excited that we have so many parents dedicated to the many aspects of their children's education.  As always if you have any questions, concerns- please let me know! asimms@holyspirit-indy.org.  Have a great weekend!

It's October!

Greetings from the Music Room!

Sunday- Students singing at the Oct. 3rd mass will need to be in the music room at 11:30 in their school uniform (jumpers or school skirts for girls, please). If you are not going to stay for the Mass please pick kids up by 1:00.

Hello Again!

Hope everyone had a great week! Please check out the agenda to get more details on what your child is doing. Please be encouraging your kids the importance of singing in church. That is not about how they sound, its about why--because they are there to worship and participate and that is how we do it, through song.

Next week is very exciting for classes 2/3-5th grade because we will be beginning preparation for the Christmas program. I will be looking to you for help in the future with costumes, checking into make sure you child has there lines memorized and other odds and in's.

Jubilance Parents, Please note that on Sunday, October 2nd. The Choir has been asked to sing at the 12:00 mass at Holy Spirit Church, it is part of their grade, so please add it to your calendars :).

This is the second week with sixth graders and can't wait for us to dive into the Asian music culture, the kids will be singing and dancing.

In preschool and Kindergarten, we are working on beginning a repertoire(the list of songs they will know) of music. Have the kids sing to you what they have learned, it is great practice and they will love to showcase it for you!
