Third Grade- Music around the world. Students will be learning about different types of music from different cultures.
Fourth Grade- Music Around the World. Some fun review with the Supermarket Shuffle, back by popular demand.
Fifth Grade- Comparison of music throughout other cultures.
Choir- Individual vocal conferences to talk about personal vocal goals. Vocal Terms review- Vowels, Breathing, Posture, Facial Expression, Tone Quality, Dynamic levels, This Flag We Fly, Enjoy the show, Sight Reading, Mass Practice, Mass Expectations, Figgy Pudding, Merry Merry Joy Joy, Season of Bells, Christmas Wonderland
Band- We all have our instruments! Thank you everyone for all their help in getting instruments in kids hands for this week. We have exciting news, band will now be offered 4 days a week 2nd period. Students will have band Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri.
Exploratory Instrument- This class will end and we will be having students join the band and choir from this classes. The schedule was very difficult for the students and this also allows for students not to have to double up on classes periodically. Students playing instruments get more time with their instrument as well. Changing the schedule will allow for more consistency and less confusion. I will be asking some students to consider instrument playing, because I think it would be great for them to try.
